Signs and Symptoms of Peyronie’s Disease

There are several sign and symptom of peyronie’s disease. The onset of signs of the Peyronie’s disease can be sudden or slow and can vary in severity. The obvious sign of peyronie’s disease is a bend or curve in penis during erection. The bend can be upward or downward, depending on the locations of the lump, if the lump present on the top side of the penis, the erect penis can bend upward, at the contrary, if the lump present on the lower side of the penis, the erect penis can bend downward. In some cases of peyronie’s disease, lump present on along side of the penis.

Bend penis in peyronie’s disease can be followed by narrowing and or shortening of the penis.

Peyronie’s disease may change the shape of the penis erection in other ways: indentation, diameter reduction, or loss of length.

Pain during erection is also experienced by the peyronie’s disease sufferer, pain felt in the early stages of the peyronie’s disease often resolves in twelve to eighteen months. Even though in some cases, pain is absent.

Peyronie’s disease may also make sexual intercourse painful and/or difficult, though many men report satisfactory intercourse in spite of the disease.
